It's an honor being your straight man.
Inglorious Basterds.
A World War 2 fairy tale, told as only Tarantino could...or would.
Some marvelous performances, Tarantino is one of the few directors who lets a scene unfold at it's own pace with all the subtext intact and as usual, his dialogue is great.
Very stylish visuals and the typical QT idiosyncratic soundtrack.
I liked it.
"I am the one who knocks."- Heisenberg
Jurassic Park I - ahh good memories
8/10
Sunshine Cleaning- Amy Adams, Emily Blunt.
Two sisters- the eldest (Adams) has a kid and ambition and the younger (Blunt) is a slacker- live in the shadow of their mother's suicide.
Also featured are Steve Zahn, Alan Arkin- instant indie cred!- and Mary Lynn Rajskub (24).
This small, slice-of-life drama is leavened with humor and carried by the two leads, who are excellent.
I'm on something of an Amy Adams bandwagon lately and she doesn't disappoint here.
No robots or ninjas and Albuquerque does not get destroyed so if you require CGI in your moviefare, don't bother.
"I am the one who knocks."- Heisenberg
i watched 2012. A friend sent it to me on TwitFile the other day!!!
So what did you think of it?
Sunshine (2007)
I think this movie is a tad overrated. There were some plot holes, imo and I don't get why the picture was all blurry only when it showed the Captain of Ikarus 1. I get it, he was mad and exposed himself to the sun, so he turned out to be ugly. So?
5,5/10
I'm back. The downside is that I'm also old now.
