Thread: Subtitles

  1. #1
I have an AVI file and a text file containing the subs for the movie.
    Its in this format.
    {7}{143}Blah
    {150}{238}Blah
    {299}{363}Blah
I can use BSPlayer to load the AVI and the subs, but is there a way I can add the subs into the actual movie file itself?

    TIA

DirectVobSub only works if you have the program installed. Is there a way to add the subs to the actual movie file?

that is not true, you CAN get subtitles in a .avi but that means that you have to recompress the movie again and you will lose quality.

If you still want to do it,then follow this guide GUIDE FOR ADDING SUBTITLES BUT STOP when they say that you should use frameserving because that is only for encoding VCD/SVCD etc.
Instead of frameserving you have to choose a codec example DivX
and then save it as a new AVI and you are done.
It will take some time like 30 minutes.
