If there's any programs out there that i can use to make the sound better when im listening to music through my laptop, ive bought a decent pair of headphones but that didnt help much and the windows settings make no difference.

if anyone knows anything that would be great... cheers

DFX audio enhancer for windows media player, winamp, muscimatch, real media player. It worked good for me when I had the same problem. I have seen DFX on many torrent sites. Worth a try.

I use a program called 'enhancer' for winamp.
I like the sound it puts out once i've got it set up but you should try a few diff programs to see which gives you the sound that you like best.

Edit: If you use windows media player turn off the equalizer and srs stuff, they just make the sound distorted/scratchy imo. Use a diff program as the equalizer if you want to use media player for music.

I have just installed DFX. It sounds better.
