This is my experience. Works for me. Use at your own risk. Backup measures such as system restore point & or disk imaging encouraged. Got this from Andy's. I changed it a LOT though.

Again this works on my computer.

Offline install of IE7 without validation.

    Download IE7. I suggest at MajorGeeks.com.
Put it in a folder. Then right click on it & choose extract here. Duh you're going to have to have 7zip, winrar, winzip or the like.

    Disconnect from the internet.
Worth repeating. Disconnect from the internet.

    In the UPDATE folder.
    1. Run the file IDNDL.EXE
    2. Run the file NLSDL.EXE
    3. Run the file XMLLITESETUP.EXE
    4. Run the file IESETUP.exe
    5. REBOOT

If it installs fine online then there's no need to install it offline...
If you can't get it to install because you don't have a key that microsoft still finds valid then install offline.

Very grateful for the guidelines. Will certainly try it when I install IE7.
Are you impressed with it by the way?
