I use tvtorrents many times a day as well as checking bitsoup and leecherslair for movies, I also use demonoid a few times a day for music (Mainly discographies..)

maybe thats why, all you use is public trackers, get on a good private tracker and max your download most of the time, only problem is you have to seed the thing back (which you should be doing anyway really even on public sites)

I use newsgroups as well, but believe me, some trackers are just as good if not better. (and free)
