but the heatsink from ebuyer is amd approved so is it worth it?
Also if i bought an processor would be compatible in the uk?

No arguement here. I agree with you as far as they're better HSF solutions than the standard AMD one. My point is to that gent is that go ahead & buy retail. Otherwise he's gonna end up with a 15 day warranty or some such bs. My friend just bought a high end AMD Barton cpu. But he bought it retail so he got the 3yr. warr. That's it. That's my point. GL

Just buy your AMD cpu retail. That way you get a HSF included & a 3yr warranty. OK before anybody flames this advice. He's very new. And it's about a low end cpu.

See if you can get a Cyclone by Antec it's pretty good. I overclocked a duron and used this fan/heatsink combo and it worked wonderfully for me for 2 years.
P.S. Make ABSOLUTELY SURE when you install the processor/heatsink that you follow the AMD guidelines regarding the proper placement of the clip for the heatsink/fan, as it will overheat if improperly installed, and you'll end up with a fried CPU and or damage to the motherboard.
