...and for free. They'd do it here.
Somewhat true, Skiz, though I don't think the fucking they give the rest of us qualifies as "proper service", and, in any case, it isn't what I was talking about relative to Nikki.

My mini-rant was tailored very specifically to her immigrant.

Being that I'm his spouse, I gotta fill out forms too. My car is gonna cost more to fix than just going out and buying something else and it was only supposed to last a year or so until I could afford something better. I think the guy who safetied it was a bit on the shady side, cause most of the problems with it have been there since day one, and every time I took it in, he couldn't find anything wrong with it. Either that or he's just a moron. So I'm looking for another car, in the meantime I'm driving my dad's (which Jon likes cause it's got all kinds of little gadgets). So far as servicing me properly, he does a splendid job.

    Well, now.

That is a very pleasant surprise, I must say.

Jonno has improved his lot greatly.

Heartfelt congratulations to you both; may I break the news with a dedicated thread at all (at all).

Today I'm moaning about the fact that I almost ran out of petrol this morning. I was basically running on fumes, and thought I could just about make it to the Esso station on the outside of town. When I got there, it was closed for some reason, so I had to try and dash for the service station on the A23. Luckily I just about made it, but I thought I was going to grind to a halt at any time.

I managed to put 43 litres into a 40 litre tank, that's how empty I was

It also meant I was 40 minutes late for work. Fucking Esso, why are they so unreliable?

You have esso in the UK?

I hate esso. Im a new driver so it's not like i've filled up that many times so i've only ever gone to shell and esso.
At esso first of all the screen thingy was busted so i couldnt read what it said to do fast-pay so i had to go inside to pay.
Second the pumps are fckin slow! It took me like 10 minutes to pump $60 worth of gas. Only takes about 2 mins at shell.

Not yet!! I won't be changing my nickname to NikkiR for at least a little while yet. We swore out an oath of common law status last week for immigration purposes, so I'm officially his spouse now.

    Congratulations to both of you.

    An oath's an oath.

Shall I finally give up all hope now.

    Thank you.

Jon says you never stood a chance with him anyway.

Then, as before, congratulations, luck, and hopefully much happiness will be yours.

My best to Jonno, and coincidental thoughts over how well-off my own country would be if it's immigration policy required such an effort as the one you two are undertaking.

Is causes real people to stand up and be counted, and that's a good thing, I think.

JP-buck-up, laddie...your Missus is obviously very indulgent, but I doubt she'd have gone that far.
