This will probably be the last time I respond to this particular topic...as it is working itself into ever decreasing circles however,
I am a Brit and have been living in the US for almost a year. I will however be returning to the UK in just a few weeks (see you round yours for a cuppa, Bass)
I have lived with Americans...you are (on the whole) the same as 'us' with the same concerns, hopes, dreams, fears......
Even a democracy is never truly democratic, plurality is an illusion to keep us all from despair.
We who speak of forebearance have no power...we cannot control the media or our governments...only through discourse can our true feelings be articulated...but we can change nothing and cannot be blamed as individuals for the evil that governments do.
