Mate, Optus Cable has got to be the BEST connection that provides with good, if not the best speed in Australia so far. I took several TCP tests here, and obviously, with Dodo, a comindico reseller, I get absolutely gay download speeds and intensive GAY pings.

I happen to look through the bar graph of the different fast connection ISPs (including ADSL speed ranges from different ISPs, and different cable connections, including Optus and Telstra aka Hellstra) and guess what, there's this bar that sticked out obviously, making the rest look like insignificant crap...

And guess what...it's Optus Cable. Hey that test may not be so accurate but it has some credibility to a certain point. And you have to be happy with Optus's service except for the termination of the Singtel contract recently that provides with direct bandwidth and now you have to go through several exchanges first.

Whatever it is, don't ever TRY comparing it to my ISP because DODO really stinks, at first I thought the AD featuring the fat kid eating a huge pie looks lame and assume that their service is otherwise, but guess again, either way, they suck. I'm on Dodo's 256k ADSL plan now. I get gay download rates on normal HTTP files, speeds such as 10kb/sec on ADSL!!

Funny though, I get nice download speeds on Kazaa if there a majority of sources to download from. Anyways, take my word for it, stay with cable, it still owns ADSL in every way possible.

    EDIT:
Lol all that blabberish and I forgot to answer your question. No, I have no limits, it's unlimited downloads. But as I posted earlier, the service is crap, so get tricked by the unlimited offer.

red, dont get the single file dvd rip, I had them both, and the xvid is only encoded with 128bitrate for the audio, and its not even Lame. The 2 cd release sounds alot better... i actually deleted the xvid version, because of the quality difference, even though i had that first. I got it from www.supernova.org i believe... If you plan on getting the dvd, the xvid version may be fine, but I havent decided yet, so i figured i would get the better of the two.

XvcD version is 1 gig +. I'm having problems with downloading a 700mb file, let alone a 1gig+ one. I did pick the better quality one of the two, but my lousy connection, as you can read above, would take ages to have it downloaded.

Note, I'm going at only 0.54kb/sec downloading the 700mb XviD.

Sure its not due out until then? I've seen ads on tv about its release (i live in australia btw).
Look at places such as Columbia House and Yahoo!. They all say that it is a pre-order and it comes out on June 6th. Sure someone got one out of storage.

going from 700mbs a day to 3 gigs a month is s|-|it i wanna change it but my mum wont dont know why there are many plans with just a good speed but you get more downloads

with dodo do you need a credit card and how much?

I downloaded it using bittorrent and www.suprnova.com. I averaged 170 Kbs during the download. The XviD version looks fine.

You can already download the good episodes from the animatrix web site. The rest of the movies isn't that great. The only new episode that I like was flight of the osirus but I still think that everyone should watch this and judge for themselves

I got this off a post off whirlpool forums.
Think about it, I heard there's a PVC bandwidth upgrade this Wednesday, but so far the pings and download rates have been crap, and I can't promise you it will get any better.
