Cheese is a crap bait for mice,chocolate is the best bait by far.
If you want to be cruel put down some uncooked rice,when the mouse eats it,it will expand in its stomache and rupture it.

i might try the rice method, that sounds good.

The poison looks like it has'nt been touched, we had a few mice in there about a year ago and poison killed 2 or 3 of them, this time its 1 mouse on its own, i dunno if its part of that family or a new arrival....he's probably polish.

Mouse trap called snapper (Victor mouse trap) 99p at some shops in the uk.
use a small piece of soft bread rolled into a ball about the size 15mm and set on the trap, works great.
when I moved into my old house the damn place was full with them, it only took a few days to get rid of them using this trap.

Nice one, they will work well, I did not want to kill them but i had no choice they were chewing everything in sight.
