    I'm sure Im not the only one to have downloaded a good song to find out it has built in static to discourage sharing of the song, is there any fix for this, or work around?

    Look at the bitrate. Anything 128Kbps or greater should sound good.
    (larger bitrate = more data = larger file size)

    Different media players work better than others. The Kazaa mediaplayer just doesn't cut it. Try Windows mediaplayer, Winamp, Musicmatch, et al.
