More crap about Palladium. Like I said in another post: Palladium REQUIRES a piece of hardware to run. Without that, it won't work.
Websites can say anything. They can put as much crap on their site as they want on their site just to give a company a bad reputation. That's just like those stupid newspapers, like Weekly World News or any clones of those. i saw one the day before that says that Jonbenet Ramsey (sp?) was killed by Santa. Everyone knows that's just bull
. The same thing goes for websites. You can't trust everything you read.
Here's a link showing some information on Palladium (and if you don't trust PC World, you suck):

Your point IS? Makes no difference, the hardware will be implemented in the new mobos, as Intel, AMD and microsoft are working together to implement this by the time longhorn is finalized, Sooooooo, what happens then? There will be two choices for people to make, either get a mobo WITHOUT the architecture necessary for longhorn to run ,(which will shut out those who chose to, and at which point eventually will be forced to get longhorn ANYWAY, as is always the case cause they don't make it backward compatible) or to get the mobo WITH the support for longhorn,in which case you're screwed anyway.
P.S. the link you posted goes on to explain exactly what i am talking about, it also has a link for those who oppose what microsoft is doing, http://www.pcworld.com/news/article/0,aid,...d,105215,00.asp ,and err, magazines get paid as well, by the corporate conglomerates such as microsoft, intel etc. so no difference, regarding what you read on a web site or in a magazine.

There will be a time when even using a comp will violate even your most basic privacys!
Why the hell do we need longhorn anyway?!!
Too many people here seem to put an emphasis on the acquisition of the "latest and greatest" things
Fuck microsoft, use any damm os you want, if they take away hardware compatability: use older hardware!
You don't have to own the "best computer" if it violates a basic human right: FREEDOM!

There IS a God AND there IS a Devil. God created us to make our own decisions. It's called free will.
@Kokanee: Support your statement that Longhorn sucks. If you used it, good for you. It's an Alpha, so it't supposed to be crap right now. If you're talking about Palladium that could be why it sucks.
