no minidisc player has come out with a mp3 codec bulit in.
and your average minidisc hold just over 200~280 mb so i am told.
edit: he put data on a minidisc in the matrix didn't he. B)

i pretty sure u can't store other stuff on a minidisc...u could try to change an .mpeg and just put .mp3 since u said it reads mp3?!?!?but i thought the only format they supported was .wav which is then converted to atrac. which is what the player reconizes....But im probably wrong im just going by the old one i had that caugt on fire The new ones probably support a little more~

max size i think for a MD disc is 160MB, and they can only play atrac files. Even though some people think that through NETMD, they can transfer mp3s they need to consider that these files get converted to atrac before being transferred.
I love my MD B) can't wait till weirder gadgets come out for it.

if you go to minidisct.com then check out the forums, you'll see there is a method on the forum using nero and image drive so you can forget about using OpenMG which leaves files on your computer.
