Wmp 9 Keeps Running

Does anybody know why this could be? I close out WMP and if i check the process's it's still running. If i close WMP while i'm still listening to a song or playing a movie it closes the window but it keeps running, like it's running in the background. Anybody know how to fix this?

Yea, that's what i've had to do. Even though it takes half a second, it's really annoying to have to re-enable my DFX plug-in. Not to metion the annoyence of having to close out the program through the task manager.
