When the guy is filming the movie does his cam produce a quality that is higher than 352x240/288???
If yes then why the hell make it 352x240/288???
Make it something between dvd and cam quality to please cable and 56k users!
It would be a much better idea and plus screeners will not be so demanded. (They are going to get rare becasue of the tigter security on them).
SO please anyone who knows a guy who takes his camera into the theatres or if you are one of those guys please make that effort to make the movie quality in between dvd and cam like SVCD.

they must have there reasons for the aspect ratio.

these people take alot of time and care in what they do so if thats how they make them there must be a good reason behind it.

A lot of them start out that quality but get re-encoded to achieve a smaller filesize by groups like TMD.

SVCD files are oftne larger in size than Divx DVD rips anyways.

There are "scene rules" that rippers must follow. If the movie isn't released with the proper sound quality or video resolution, then it gets nuked. I might have a copy of the rules around here, but I'll have to check all my bookmarks for it.
