Thread: Help On Computer To Tv Watching Movies...

1. #21
I don't know about Nero encoding it, but encoding can take quite awhile with TMPGEnc.

On my AMD XP 2000+ It takes about 1.5 hours to encode half a movie into svcd.

Yup that sounds just about right, with the MPEG-2/SVCD Plug-in it normally takes me an hour and a half to two hours to encode.

That's all so much hard work!!!!!!!!!!! I used to fart about with all that b*ll*cks but not any more! If you have a tv-out on your graphics card - do what I did and buy a fify quid transmitter and broadcast the film direct to your tv. Doesn't matter what format it is, avi,mpg all works fine and the pictures spot on. I can now watch all my films the second I've finished downloading.

You can play direct to your tv without the hassle of burning/encoding etc. - wirless transmission via products such as giga video. Just plug a transmitter into your PC and a receiver into the scart conection of your tv and you're away.....

I can vouch for Nelchael. I spent about £50 for my giga video transmitter.
It works really good and saves one hell of a load of time and hassle with converting and burning. B)
