does anybody know where to download an mp3pro encoder? is it worth it? can i play the encoded music with windows media player 9?

try dbpoweramp to find the encoder/decoder.
Its not really that good IMO, WMA is better along with MP3.
You can play the music in WMP but without the proper decoder it sounds terrible, so you might wanna find the plugin for winamp and play it in that
