I continue to randomly hear this sound. I don't know why I'm hearing it. There's no popup or informative window associated with it. It's strange. I've checked the event viewer for clues to the source of this issue.

Any ideas what it could be? The only thing I can think of is maybe the new AIM. It's the only new thing on my computer.

    /me is confused

    What's the "default beep"?

The sound when an error window pops up?

I actually did this and I hadn't heard it while it was off. If it's caused by aim, it might be my popup blocker blocking the advertising image on the main window.

When I didn't have a firewall, AV, AntiSpyware, etc. I use to hear sheep sounds. Seriously, some annoying damn malware I always guessed.

AIM, huh? You might wanna go to 'Options/Preferences' and check your notifications and you can disable the damn AIM Today crap.

    Or just use AIM-Ad hack.

aim today is disabled. it's not trying to open that window. it's so strange. there's no rhyme or reason for it.

Just an update for those who care. I figured out the problem. It must have been caused by other AIM/AOL users custom sign on/off sounds. I didn't have them, so it used windows default beep sound. I went into the AIM preferences and changed the settings to just use the door open/close for signing on and leaving and I haven't heard the beep since.

I too recommend AimAdHack. I refuse to install any Aim version above 5.9.6 though.

Click for more activation options, then activate by telephone. Run the keygen.
if I call them, aren't they going to get me? (you know, down there)
