Hi, would like to upgrade to 512 mb video card. just would like to know if this is possible with my current computer? Got everest installed if thats needed. What card would you recommend with good price to performance ratio?

to me it is. that's why i said if "i'm" going to spend $260 "i" mite as well put $100 more and get something better which imo the ati card beats the 7950 by good margins especially in shades.uh, the x1950xtx is NOT worth $100 more than the 7950GT.
It's prolly better by only 10% or so.

ok some nice options thx guys! Is it actually possible to use these on my computer? Having doubts as i heard that if u have integrated graphics card then u can't upgrade ur stuck with it, is there any truth to this?

If your seriously into gaming then probably better to wait a few months and get a cheap(ish) DirectX 10 compliant card.
If not the 7950 is a good choice, if you plan on using it to it's full potential, on high res monitor, and not bothered about it not being DX10 worthy. I should know I got one.

u should be able to run any video card as long as u have a slot for it. just disable ur onboard and plug 'n ur new card. sometimes this can be a pain in the ass, but it will work.
also, make sure u have adequate power for ur upgrade.

well, ur NOT gonna be able to upgrade ur vid crd then. unless u decide to run a pci vid crd and i strongly disagree with going that route as for pci cards are shit, but then again ur onboard is a step below that. if u believe u mite be able to build ur own pc i would recommend doing that and maybe salvaging ur parts in ur currrent rig to save u some money. by doing this (if u don't already know) u learn how to build pc's, u'll know EXACTLY what u have and (the biggest part) u'll be able to install a "proper" vid crd.
