Have you loaded kazza-lite codecs as posted recently, I did and media player 9 got wrecked so i removed codecs and reinstalled media player all was fine after.

uninstall all codecs on ur system,
then install media player classic, based on media 6, but more stuff.

then install codec pack. 2.03 has latest divx in it.
