Once you have learned how to use it and you have tried the usenet, going back to using torrents is a tough sell, the newsgroups have too many advantages over the torrents
Usenet + Newsleecher + Newzbin = all you need

It's really hard at first but you really must read everything on newsgroups/usenet so you can get some idea of what you're getting into. Some people read too much and have so much on their plate that they can't process all that information. To be honest I don't even remember how I even got into this whole scene 4-5 years ago as it was much harder back then lol!

Newsgroups are the way to go. If it wasn't for some rare movies that pop up on some of the trackers I wouldn't use em. Some of the newsgroups even have forums and IRC channels where you can request stuff.
They are far superior to any Tracker.
