I think you need a DVD player that can play Avi (DivX, XviD) files. Kiss players are one of them.

You can also convert avi to DVD.
Try WinAVIVideoConverter or VSO ConvertXToDVD.

You can also use DVDSanta to convert the files to DVD. They will play on any DVD player.
I haven't taken a beating like that since I opened my first issue of Hustler!

"Most DVD Players" require MPEG-2 video. They cannot play AVI. TMPGEnc is the most versatile and powerful way to convert AVI's to MPEG-2. It is, however, a little complex for beginners.
Though I will second dvdSanta... it is the easiest to use.

Glad to hear Santa helped ya. It is a very basic program, but it works. I have not noticed any problems with the DVDs that I have burned with it.
