    Ok i have a server yeah. I want a software that enables me to download files from server to my computer via FTP. Can anyone recommend me a cetain software that is easy to use.

    Dreamweaver is probably the norm. It's the only one I've ever used.

    and or

    firefox extension fireftp - http://fireftp.mozdev.org/

    both very easy to use, drag and drop

    why use a browser, it takes to long selecting file by file, zipping etc when you can simply ftp paste and dump?

    You can drag and drop in IE.

    No No what i mean is i have a server i want to transfer files to my computer and i cannot access the computer but only via remote access. Usually i use serv-u but it does not seem to work. Is there anything similar to that?

    Yes, there are many options: FileZilla Server (nice and freeware) or Gene6 (excellent but shareware).

    Cerberus FTP Server is easy to setup.
