According to Wikipedia the last game released for the PS1 was Fifa Soccer 2005 which was released in October 2004. About 4 years after the release of the PS2.

Who Needs Wheels?
I'm going to say 3 years but it'll last a lot longer with me, i never get rid of a console... just for the record, i get the nes out for a dusting off every now and then aswell

Nah.. Five years is a lot. Maybe something like 2-3 years. Then PS3 will be a bit cheaper than the present price and people will want to buy and play everything they have on ps2 on ps3 instead.

Yeah, I'd also say around 2-3 years. The PS3 is currently losing the race so they'll need to push hard to get it above the Xbox 360 and Wii.

I'd say it has a few years after the next Final Fantasy game is released. Although realistically it'll probably run longer.
