Does anyone know of a free pop3 email provider that does not require authentication?

I have a mail program I want to test (in Visual Basic code) and all the pop3 email accounts I can find all need authentication, but the free VB code doesn't have that option.

What I'm looking for is a pop3 compatable free email provider that I can use an opensource e-mailing application with.

    Any suggestions?

Click for more activation options, then activate by telephone. Run the keygen.
if I call them, aren't they going to get me? (you know, down there)

you pretty much need authentication to sign into any pop3 account otherwise they will not be able to know who you are.

Are you asking if there are any pop3 providers that does not use tls or ssh. if so i dont know any.

Gmail supports free POP3 that doesn't use the encryption. But, as 4play said, I think all POP3 accounts require authentication (as in a plaintext password). It is pretty much in the protocol. It may be possible to specify a blank password and thus only have a username, but I doubt any provider would allow you to do that (for security purposes).
