at dslreports.com and it listed me as having a 380kb/sec dl (i usually max out at 310) and an upload of 163kb/sec (but i never get past 60). is this because my isp is bottlenecking my upload speed like ive heard so many of them do? i use sbc, can i call them and tell them i need the extra upload bandwidth?

Are you aware of the difference between kB and kb? Did you run the test when none of your torrents were running?

    No. kB = 8kb.

The correct way to run speed tests is without anything seeding.

You would technically take the TOTAL figures you got for upload and download speeds and divide them by 8 as shadowfire mentioned.
DSLREPORTS isnt all that accurate a site anyways.
Ive tried my 100mbit and 1gig lines on there and they show me as avg cable lines. (600k incoming and 200k outgoing.)
When I know they go much faster cause I send 12,000k most of the time.

    Isn't speedtest.net a more accurate one? I dunno, I just use that.

What ever the number you get at DSLReports divide it by 8 to get your actual upload/download speed in Kb

Here are some links that describe the difference.

And with dsl you always have to account for the overhead, which is normally ~15-20 % of the contracted speed.
