Personally, IMO I'm glad to see that this didn't get locked or deleted, because this is the LOUNGE. However harsh or off-topic it maybe I like the fact that it is...somewhat free and lax

. Thanks to lynx and Rip The Jacker for this (by not going over the top and deleteing posts and what-not). Freedom of Speech, that is WHY JP started this thread in the first place if you ask me.

5.) Ultimate Point Is: Unfortunatly, the way the World works is this: "Rules are Rules"; Theres so many people in it, its hard to UNDERSTAND where people come from. But the whole world isn't here now are they? We should be open to a greater understanding of things...Hate to get too philisophical, but its my opinion.

I think I might actually propose that we change rule #13, because all in all that quote right there makes my first paragraph mean zilch.

It reserves their right for total control, basically, which in the right hands can be cool, but theres so many wrong hands. Just don't abuse power, ok? So far I've seen none, however.

Just let us give any invites we might happen to have out here in the Lounge (it's not like it's a regular thing or even a problem), it would serve the Bittorrent community (and our own) a lot better if I gave an invite to someone I trust like J'Pol rather than some newb who joined a month ago, spammed his 20 posts and has no intention of contributing anything after he has gotten his invite.

Obviously we don't want threads made up about it but if I mention in passing that I have an invite for a site and someone wants it then just let them get on with it. If people start abusing that leniency then take action.

The problem with allowing some people to give invites out in the lounge is that eventually it just becomes a free-for-all. Many private trackers don't like to see invites handed around in public (and pisexy is one of them) which is why we have the invite section in the first place.

But the reason I got involved in this thread was not about handing round invites, it was this:
