I just ordered this from Hosting-IE and will give them a try for one month:
Intel P4. 1700 MHZ (64bit ready)
60 GB ofHDD disk
512 MB of RAM
Traffic-Unlimited (guaranteed)
100Mbit Switch Port
Monitoring 14 Port's
RemoteConsole
PLESK 8 (info)
Managed firewall
Operation System *
Monthly Payment
78 € Setup Fee
39 € Per Month
They're cheaper than DediBox (excluding the one-time setup fee) but if I can get anywhere from 1-3MB/s I'd be happy with it. That, and good routing to the US ('cos with DediBox, I get around 10-15kB/s FTP'ing to and from).
wow nice guide, i just finish the read...
Offer from GalacNet:
Pentium 4 2.0Ghz
512mb ram
20GB HDD
Unmetered shared bandwidth
Win XP Pro
$45/mo
ya hehe, i also just ordered from hosting-ie... hope they are as good as they sound :-)
just broke down and got a bestofdata one.
heard good and bad things, will see.
I got my hosting-ie server, it's my first windows server, i have to say windows is amazing to use vs linux, yes linux is free and windows almost always cost money (except this time i got it free), speeds aint bad for VPS, upload 2-3mb/s on avrage upload, download i got up to 6mb/s... nice thing is u can install any p2p on it, incl DC or emule, etc... anyway if u have 20-100 euros, i say go for hosting-ie.. leeware is still nice and cheap but hosting-ie has much more options...
I have a nice deal for 5 users coming up very soon, 100mbit box using a tflux system - hosted in Chicago, USA. Will ONLY be used for Bittorrenting soon!!! (I only download a few torrents a day and it's being wasted)
Each account will have 1 active torrent slot each + unlimited queue. (all unmetered, unlimited traffic, unlimited space)
$20 for 1 month
or
$50 for 3 months.
