    1) Is it worth getting the 100 Mbps uplink port or stick with the 10 Mbps uplink port? (at LayeredTech for example).

    2) Is it worth the extra for windows and will windows web edition do?

    Thanks for any help.
i use the $25 leeware along with a best of data (just for a month or two) and it colud hold about 12 highly seeded torrents before the server load was too much and i had to reboot. but that has only happened once. its worth it IMO if you don't wanna spend alot.

2)for me(a linux noob) it was worth it to get windows on my best of data server because i could run utorrent and use either webui or just a remote desktop. and yes, web edition is fine.

bestofdata.com is a dedicated server provider.
they are a dedibox based company, but i've never had a problem with it.

i just have a leeware VPS running torrentflux.

for my bestofdata.com server i use windows server 2003 web and utorrent. i havent even had it a full month and upped about 3TB or more.

    quite easy.
you put money in the account, order a server.
2-3 days later you get it.
log on using Windows Remote Desktop with the username and password given to you.
install utorrent and have at it.

    Indeed.

I have a good memory but that was 26 pages ago. Besides, I was distracted by your top 5 dedicated server list, which I am still tempted by.
