i find that a bit stupid as if you are still seeding then there is obviously someone that needs it

They don't want members obtaining large buffers as then they tend not to seed at all. Small ratio means you seed everything back.

I kept a 1.5 ratio there. I think that it is fair to give the newbies some chance there....so they can remove wait times!!!

Yep. Wait times always suck, that's why I don't utilize that tracker unless I need to.
