That sounds mint Grip! scary, but mint. I've been seeing a rather boring small black dot when I close my eyes but the optician says there's no point checking it out until I've had the baby, so thanks also to backlash!
On a completely unrealated optical topic I have a friend who is totally blind in one eye. One xmas whilst partying hard on cocaine and skunk her vision came back for a couple of days and then went again. We spent ages testing it out by covering her 'seeing' eye and getting her to describe various objects with her blind eye. She explained all this to her eye specialist in the hope that it might give a clue to how she could get her vision back and he told her that it was physically impossible!
