I am building my own system and after I placed my order on Newegg i am not so sure about Pciexpress My mobo says:

    AGP Slots 1 x AGP 4X / 8X
    PCI Express x16 None
    PCI Express x4 1
    PCI Slots 4

And the vid card I ordered is PCI express x 16. Am I screwed here and I will have to return the card or is it okay? Any help here would be great from you fine folks over in this section. Thanks

    Well, you're right...you fucked up.

Swap the motherboard, there is absolutely no reason to chain yourself to an AGP future.

Do you have any recommendations for a mobo that is about the same price?

The board you ordered has both AGP and PCI-E x16 slots, so you can install that graphics card. However, the slot only runs at x4 speed, to make it compatible with the AGP x8 slot, but that speed will be fine for the graphics card you've ordered.

If you want a full speed x16 slot you'll have to swap the board.

If you can put up with lower specs a micro-atx board may fit the bill.
This one maintains your chosen memory speed (DDR667), but you only get 2 memory slots and you also lose 2 PCI slots.

If you need more PCI slots, but can put up with slower memory speed this one will probably be ok for you.

Finally, if you need all the PCI slots and want to keep the memory speed you'll have to increase your budget a little, this is the lowest priced offering from Newegg.

    Then why does it say:

    Expansion Slots
    AGP Slots 1 x AGP 4X / 8X
    PCI Express x16 None
    PCI Express x4 1
    PCI Slots 4

WOW guys Thanks so much. I asked the customer service guy on the chat help thing. He was of no use I sent a message to asrock to find out for sure, just so i don't mess up again. I canceled my order tand just ordered a cheap PCI vid card to be safe.

Thank you guys so much for helping me and I hope you will be around when It's time for me to put this thing together. I have done it twice before ( put systems together ) and I never had a problem so hopefull I wont have one this time either, but it is GREAT to know that this community is so great and can answer any and all probs I may have! Okay so I'm gonna get the crappiest case ever from a e-bay store here

I would like the opinions of the crowd please Thanks again guys!
