There seems to be two types, different numbers of pins. Will it tell me on the ram how many there are so I can buy the right type.

And also, can I just get a 1GB sodimm ddrII with the right number of pins and not worry about owt else.

Thanks for the help btw mate.

Since it's got an FSB of 400 megsihurts, maybe PC3200 would be ideal.
2700 would be cool too, f.ex.

As for the number of pins you want, if you know what you have now, it's easy whatever site or store you'll be shopping for will note the number of pins.

If you don't I guess you'll have to count

Still looking for that manual tho', 'cos it'll have information on your specs, but maybe it's re-badged as you say, 'cos I'm having trouble finding that model's documentation.

    ^This seems to answer everything.

FAQs > How do I add or replace memory modules... >
Q: How do I add or replace memory modules in this notebook?

A: This notebook uses 400/533 MHz DDR2 RAM Small Outline Dual Inline Memory Modules (SO-DIMMs) memory modules. Two 200-pin industry standard DDR2-SODIMM sockets are located in this bay.

Note: There is not a Slot 1/Slot 2 designation for the modules. Any module may be used in any available slot.

Either I'm too tired to think straight, or that site is stupid.

    I think it is

EDit: so DDR2, SO-DIMM, 200 pins, PC3200 or the next step up the ladder, I guess.

    SnnY,

Cheers mate, that seems to be just the ticket.

Much appreciated old bean. I hope you don't get banned for giving hard-on advice in the wrong place.
