As far as I know these two programs are fairly similar in what they do.Is one better than the other? Is it pointless using both at the same time? Can someone advise.

I can't advise. But here's my experience, I've had iespyad for about 18 months AFAIK. And I always forget what it is (or that I have it) when looking through windows explorer to fully delete some other program. When you mentioned it in conjunction w/proxi.... it sounded familiar. No muss no fuss ever.
