Jay - Bottler and many other applications like it are banned from certain IRC channels.
They are considered cheating by the l33t irc users.
Just go to a different channel.
That is a better program.. thankzOriginally posted by stoi@27 May 2003 - 19:04
ok an update, ive installed another proggy now, irc-ork which is a lot better than bottler as it has all the servers already installed, i still couldnt connect to the efnet server though, so i tried disabling Norton Firewall and it connected straight away.
irc-ork
the only prob is that this program is only a 7day trial, and ive looked all over for a fix for this but cant find one anywhere.

Lets all go on a hunt for a serial/crack for it'z now.
Yea. I've heard there's a way to show up as anonomous in an IP and Username... wonder how that's done. People could like ban you...then u just change the ip somehow.Originally posted by itykii@27 May 2003 - 20:04

Sorta like a emulation deal or something.. i'll search around neworder.box.sk
No cracks/serials for IRC-ORK yet? I havent been able to find anything but I was hoping that someone has!
You can also use IRCSpy.com
It has a searchable database for any kind of files and produces mIRC quicklinks for the server and channel to connect to. It even pastes the XDCC command to your clipboard so you only have to paste it!
The pro is, that you won't be banned for using Bottler or IRC-Ork.
Can't remember a movie's name? Ask help at MovieWorld's Lost & Found
why isnt IRC-Ork a populare program!? It kicks ass!!
Were's da serial!!
True, however there are multiple ways of banning someone on IRC. Most channels ban the IP and the hostname. This stops someone from entering the room with a different IP.Originally posted by Wolfmight@28 May 2003 - 14:51

The bottler is a neat toy, but most of the truly fast channels don't allow it. I'll stick to doing things the old fashioned way.
