That reason is marketing. Talent and good looks are secondary, you can be the most talented and good looking singer out there but if the record labels et al aren't backing you then the odds are very much against you. Britney doesn't have the talent or lasting appeal, she's doesn't even seem to have that much common sense. I don't even think she's a major sex symbol (on the level of Madonna for instance), she was a sexual commodity for a while but even that seems to have now passed.

I don't typically get wrapped up in celebrity bs, in fact I do my best to avoid it but this shit going on with Britney and Anna Nicole is just crazy. I can't get enough of it.

Have you guys seen the newest clips of her jumping out of the car and hitting the Paparazzi with an umbrella? K-Fed apparently had his lawyers request an emergency custody hearing for their two kids, and Britney flipped out and went to his house. He eventually agreed to speak with her and also agreed to call off the hearing. Is it me, or is he coming out looking like a saint in all this? That guy's going to clean up in the divorce if he just lays low.

She's also back in rehab AGAIN!! This is the third time this week she's checked in to rehab.

Her Dad also released a statement in front of his Louisiana home, ""We've got a sick little girl. We're just trying to take care of her".
