In Maryland, they have The Book Thing, http://bookthing.org where you can take books for free. Its like a huge used bookstore, except you dont have to pay for anything. Great selection! Serious!!

Amazon is great for old books and really buying used can save alotta moneyBeen doing it for well over a year now.
