.cbr is a file for CDisplay, a program for reading comic books. It can be downloaded for free here
If you get your comics as *.rar files, with the jpg files in the rar, not a sub directory, you can just rename the *.rar file to a *.cbr extension and it will read them.
Simply rename the file to *.cbr, then doulbel click, if the Comis Book Reader is installed it will open the file as a comic.
cbr will read a .rar file, so no need to change the file type..........
yes but after adding .cbr as the extention you can simply double click the file and it opens in CDisplay, Instead of opening CDisplay then browsing for which comic you want to open.Originally posted by HeavyMetalParkingLot@19 February 2004 - 15:07

As for the annoying .lit files, which can only be opened using MSreader, there's a way to convert them to whatever format one wants...
First open them in litconverter.exe, which will convert them to .htm, then cut n' paste in word, wordpad, or any program you're using.
P.S: of course, you understand this has to be done with files you legally obtained, right?
Whats wrong with MSReader? Is there some trick ot 'activating' it?Originally Posted by Guillaume
