My max using usenetserver is ~2.2MB, or 20Mbit.
Someoone probally answered in the OP's questiosn already in these 6 pages, but to download at 6500k (6.5MB) you would need a 60Mbit line. 6554kb/s is a 6.5Mbit connection, not MB (megabyte).

im not sur...any idea how to run speed test on linux sdbx?

on speakeasy im getting 20648 kbps down and 4573 kbps up...20/5
On grabit i usually max around 1700-2400 KB/s
I get 60 mbit (6mb / sec.) on my Giganews Diamond Account with 10 connections.
I have Verizon FIOS i get around 2.5Mbps download. I have 20Mbps connection
No u have a 6 megabit connection as apposed to a 6 megabyte connection 8 bits are a byte
