Great news! Though I wonder just how "seperate" a third series can be when based on the same ideas. The only thing I can think of is that the show is going to be a lot more like FarScape, in the fact that they are introducing the ninth chevron and going either even further away, or to different dimensions. So I expect to see a lot more alien encounters, rather than the usual humanoid ones.

Maybe I'm the only one, but I really didn't see SG-1 as getting as stale as they proclaim. Sure the Ori threat is the same re-hashed problems they had with the G'ould, but it's on a larger scale, with much more technology at their disposal.

I loved SG-1 all the way through and would have been glad to see it continue. Stargate 'Universe' would suggest traveling even further away but who knows what we will see. Maybe we get to see the Furlings!
