Can anyone inform me what the main difference is between XP pro and XP home?.
Also what one would you choose and why?

There are MANY differences, of which i have no time to list, but in short: Home has less options for non-computer ppl to messup. and comes with different defaults:
ex. when you install home, the taskbar will be locked so someone doesnt by accident click it and drag it and not knoo how to get it back.
It also doent have REmote Connection (i beleive) and the power for business applications....
I could go on...
I have both, and someone in my fam. is Windows XP tech support.

the boot screan is different.
sory i dont really know, i do know that though. is says xp pro in stead of xp home.

XP Pro has the features of Home+more
It mainly has extra stuff for corporate useage (XP Pro Corp)
