yeh i defrag like once every two weeks or so. mp3s take ages to load up (when winamp isnt already on) and also media player classic is really slow too...actually most programs take ages to load up :S

Remove unnecessary startup programs and services.

use tuneup utilities.. really handy program.

Some services may not be required in your personal setup....ex. printer spooler if you do not have a printer setup Other services install themselves with programs examples are diskeeper or sisoftsandra. With these I disable them until I need to run the program...
