I think people collect trackers because they want to join the most superior trackers in the future like FTN or SCT.

People collects tracker because:
1. They can trade it in the future.
2. They can pick and choose what's tracker is the best.
3. In case one tracker is down they can used the other tracker.
4. Some Tracker has a freeleech they can download files without worrying about the ratio.
5. Some people thinks that if they have many trackers especially the higher level one they are Superiors....
6. They can give more free invites and accounts to those who in needs.
7. Last and maybe the most. They just want to collect it like collecting bottle caps and rubber bands.....

To some degree all of those are true for me. But mostly it's #2.People collects tracker because:
1. They can trade it in the future.
2. They can pick and choose what's tracker is the best.

That takes time. Some people, excluding myself, dont have the time to stick around communities and build their rapport and let others know how good torrenters they are. In a way trading is a quicker way to move up.Why trade? If you know the right people you don't have to.
