Thread: Use.mpg2avi.to.convert Bs

  1. #1
I have a movie says in the name of the file "Use.MPG2AVI.To.Convert.To.AVI.file.AC3.Sharereactor.mpg" but I think it's bs.

Tried to open with VDUB but it says "MPEG Import Filter: pack syncronization error"
    TMPENC wont open it.
Renaming to AVI did nothing for me.
    BSPlayer says Unknown format ().
I'm working on getting mpg2avi but most of the links are bad.

Maybe I'll just rename it to .bs and give up. Good idea?

I think it is a mpeg-2 movie which you can open in normal VDub,you can use this one which is a modified version of VDub.

Hey you were right, it opened and plays in the vdub AC3. Thanks ;-)
I didnt think the audio codec would prevent it from opening...

So now my question is, if someone knew that it needed to be converted, then why were they sharing it like this?

    bah!

    Thanks again ;-)

It wasnīt the AC3 which prevented it for opening in normal VDub,it was the movie type which normal VDub canīt handle (mpeg-2).

Maybe you didnīt have the codec for the mpeg-2 file to open,I think it is the codec Ligos which is included in K-Lite Codec Pack but the filename of your movie seems strange when it says that it has to be converted to AVI to look at it.
