Movieworld's Lost & Found

Hey I've been looking for this movie/TV show. I saw it on Australian TV about 7 years ago, it was about this guy from space who could change into this robot suit and help the humans fight other evil people in robot suits. I'm pretty sure it was a television series, but there was also a movie made. Sorry if that isn't enough info, but its all I can remember from the show.

Here is another one, it is an 80's movie I think, and the only scene I can remember is the main character is in a military style dorm with a bunch of other kids.  Th military, or big brother type figure is feeding the kids some kind of drug in theor food and brainwashing them over loud speaker while they sleep.  I think there was a scene with German shepards, but I am not certain.  Sorry I couldnt be more descriptive, but that is all I can remember.

hmm, I'm pretty sure that isn't in the movie. Then again I saw this ages ago

Yeah sorry I forgot to mention, it was an anime, and It was pretty obscure here in Australia.

Not a lot I remember on this one , but following the "big robot" theme

Mid-to-late 90's , "classic" animation in the story sequences ,CGI "big robot" battles. Something with a prince/ruler (?) that was overthrown and on the run (?). Only saw 2-3 episodes. One was set near farms (?) , one of the 'bots lost both arms. No transforming , the 'bots had cockpits. That's all. May have had one alien.

A person on another board is desperately trying to find a movie ; this is his original post :

While discussing movies with a friend recently, a scene had popped into my head and I can't remember where I saw this:

It involved a woman who had been kidnapped. Her captors were trying to get information out of her (perhaps location of her child?). One of the captors was a doctor and what they were doing was cutting off her fingers, one at a time (the doctor would fix the wound) until she told what they wanted to hear.

Thats it. All I can recall. Any ideas?

We've already been through Suicide Kings , Bound , Zippo , The Man From The South , Mr Jolly Lives Next Door , Darkman , Cat's Eye and Dead Of Winter. Another poster gave this description - without knowing the title :

I know the movie the OP is talking about. The woman is fearful to help the main character, but she finally does. She flashes back to the bad guys holding her (in a hotel room?) and letting her know if she talks what they'll do. They then have a doctor surgically remove her finger, stitch it up and santiize it and maybe even give her antibiotics to prevent infection, or something for pain. Their point being something along the lines of "we're not uncivilized, but we want you to know how serious we are." After this flashback, she removes her glove and looks at her stub. The male lead has left, by this time. I think she provided him a car, too.

Ideas ? This person is getting desperate to know...

@fred: yours sounds a lot like Gundam Wing or any of it's siblings (Gundam X, Turn a Gundam, Gundam 0079/0080/0083 etc.) But my bet goes to Gundam Wing.

@brizza: oh boy, yours could be lots. Teknoman, Guyvver, Bubblegum Crisis to name a few. But you might look into Tekkaman Blade.

I've been watching Gundam Wing re-runs all summer , and I have yet to see CGI

It's not 5 Star Stories , and it seemed too ... American to be Gundam...
