i saw this tv show a few years ago. its anime & i think i saw it on cartoon network. there was some kind of army i think. they all fought using these large robots that had cockpits. in the few episodes i saw, they were always battling some kind of huge aliens that fell from the sky. i think they bounced when they hit the ground or something. these robots that the army(?) used had 2 arms & 2 legs. with wings, but they rarely flew. they more-so like flew real close to the ground. in one specific episode i remember there being a smaller girl & young woman in an apartment in a big city. the robots were battling the aliens in this city and part of the girl's apartment got smashed in the process & then the good guy in the robot came out of his cockpit and talked to him. i believe he knew them...come to think of it, i think the robots transformed into airplanes or something. i dont know. lol. i know this is a lot of wierd information, but i always like watching this show & then it never came on again and i cannot think of the name!

yeah. i checked out kazaa, didn't find much. i got a few bitorrent ones downloaded, but they were in spanish with no subtitles....

I know the movie the OP is talking about. The woman is fearful to help the main character, but she finally does. She flashes back to the bad guys holding her (in a hotel room?) and letting her know if she talks what they'll do. They then have a doctor surgically remove her finger, stitch it up and santiize it and maybe even give her antibiotics to prevent infection, or something for pain. Their point being something along the lines of "we're not uncivilized, but we want you to know how serious we are." After this flashback, she removes her glove and looks at her stub. The male lead has left, by this time. I think she provided him a car, too.

Ideas ? This person is getting desperate to know...

here's one that has been on my mind for a long time. i don't hold very high hopes of anyone knowing it.

there's a fat kid, a retarded adult maybe, who's kept locked in his room by his father. the retard is forbidden to look at any photographs at all because he's got a supernatural ability to teleport things he wants into his room, the down side being that any living thing dies in the process. my memory of this part is a little blurry, but i think the mother and the family's dog are already dead because of this. the father hires a nanny to take care of him, telling her to never let him see photos, and of course he doesn't explain why. she eventually ignores the advice, lets him see a picture of the already-dead mother, and the rotting corpse ends up in the room. i don't remember what happens after that.

i doubt it's a full-length film. it's probably an episode of a 70s or 80s horror tv series, or a segment from a horror anthology film. it might be something along the lines of rod serling's night gallery, tales from the darkside, or tales from the crypt... perhaps a lesser-known series in the same style.
