Indeed you are correct. Raw HD rips will be in MPEG2 format (as seen in the torrent title). The only reason I haven't noticed them on HDBits is because I haven't looked for them. Good spot. But, there is no way I would get them as a torrent, since seeding them would be a bit*h.

Only raw TS streams from the US will be in mpeg-2. The rest will be either in H.264 or VC-1, including TS streams from Europe

Thanks, i signup for www.hd-bits.ro, but there is only 7 HD-DVD / Blu-ray. So http://hdbits.org seems to have more of these ^^

Been ignoring the HD-DVD & Blu-ray raws thus far due to limited bandwidth at home. Even if I had a seedbox it's useless if I can't get the files down to my home PC in a reasonable time. Supposedly they've started laying down fiber in my city...

hdbits.org just pwns. The best selection in terms of choice of encodings. The most raw rips and highest transfer speed.

For example, it has the Casino Royale Blu-ray AVC encoding (weighing in at 44GB ), 1080p and 720p x264 re-encodes, and even a FLAC 5.1 soundtrack. The picture quality is supposed to be "perfect".
