Why do people keep saying that?
You are paying for your internet connection aren't you?
Well, he seedbox is just a faster internet connection.
Besides Newsgroups have only recent stuff.

a seedbox is not really a just faster internet connection because you can't really do something with the files on your seedbox
you need a second (home) internet connection to download the files to your home computer and actually use them
so you end up paying for internet access twice...

if i had the money i'd spend it on usenet access rather than on a seedbox
a seedbox gives you a good ratio, but so what?

you're right about that usenet only gets newer stuff
however, older stuff gets reposted quite often and btw torrents don't last forever neither...
