    i am getting ridiculous speeds, what do i do wrong?

    no, its rubbish speed, but in the end you get what you pay for . You can get higher, just be careful about which torrents you pick (lots of leechers/few seeders). Mostly i can get around 1/2MB/s adopting this policy.

    Yes. Same here.
    Choose your torrents carefully, and jump on them as soon as possible, you gotta predict which are the ones that are going to be popular.
    Also do partial seeding, you can not afford to download a 7GB file on leeware, just get a piece or two of that file as soon as it is posted.

    whats it got to do with being leeware?
    almost all seed boxes are 100mbp ul/dl, so here you get less hdd and ram.
    but the internet speeds are usually the same..

    Not exactly. The 100mbps is only the switch port speed. Theoretically, it's possible to hit 100mbit on the server to the outside world, but it's never going to happen because hundreds of leeware users are sharing the same Xmbps line to the outside world, where X is probably a few hundred mbit.
