Hi, I saw this little apple desktop thing (it's popular)at the compter store it was tiny, the guy said it basically had laptop parts which was why it was so small. anyway, this computer looked like a good candidate for what i need.

i need an always on computer, preferably windows, but i will take an apple if i have to. the reason is my browser(myie2) has an alarm clock plug-in but if i keep the computer on all night, i can't fall asleep because the hard drive is doing things, the fan is noisy, ect...

    any ideas or experiences?

Is an alarm clock out of the question?

Or use a mobile phone. Most of those have alarm functions.

It takes an army of different alarm clocks to wake me up in teh mornin' heh, and that's now. it was worse when i was an avid weed smoker.

my first alarm goes off at 2:20am

my second goes off at 3:45

my third goes off at 4:20

and the computer one would be my last it would go off about 4:40

@ barbie, my third alarm IS my phone one

You take 2 hours and twenty minutes to wake up

Do none of your alarms have "snooze" features

/me does not really want to get involved. This guy is a loony.

I was kinda expected you needed an alarm function on your computer because you needed it to do a scheduled task at some point. But that's just mental.

Try drinking a big mug of water before you go to bed.

Yes, and on a good morning I press them and fall back asleep, but the final alarm wakes me up for good.

@snny- mental, but unchangeable for the most part. there have been times where i slept through all of them and woke up hours late for an appointment/work. but atm i'm unemployed.

At the risk of turning this thread into some kind of lifestyle choice helpline, how about going to bed earlier?
